What brought you to the realization that you are a healer?
I wanted to become a healer ever since I was 6 years old, realizing that I can help to change people's lives. I started off wanting to be a nurse.
What obstacles have you found in considering yourself a success in this field?
Time management! However, I am now hiring a personal assistant to help me accomplish all my professional goals.
What schooling or training have you completed?
2 years undergraduate degree at the University of Guelph in Biological Sciences; Usui Reiki Level II, Therapeutic Touch Level III, Total Body Modification (TBM), Biocomputer Operating System (BOS), Medical Intuition: Lori Wilson's Total Body Intuition, Channelling, Nutrition, Empowerment Coaching, and Toastmasters (currently).
Do you find group gathering to be helpful in supporting you on your journey?
Working within a community has always been important.
Does networking with others assist you in achieving your goals?
Networking is incredibly important, as word-of-mouth consistently proves to be the most effective in bringing people quality care.
Is there advice you would offer to someone starting on this path?
ASK FOR HELP! You do not need to do it alone, nor start from the beginning. Follow in the footsteps of leaders that inspire you and learn from them. Most people find it a compliment when they are asked for help. Offer something back in return (i.e. take them out for lunch while you pick their brain).
What type of advertising has worked best for you? What has been your best resource for building a client base?
Presenting talks and seminars to the public. Also, giving my clients the best care possible has always been excellent advertising (client referrals).
Where do you see yourself in a year? 5 years? Do you have any particular goals that you would like to achieve in the near future?
In a year, I will have my own clinic for Beyond Diabetes Canada, working with a team of practitioners and doctors. Beyond Diabetes Canada will be a model of healing that will be replicated throughout Canada.
